Why is daily meditation important ?

… because it helps you cleanse the sticky stuff from your mind.

What is the sticky stuff?

Like dirt sticks on the body, feelings and thoughts stick in the mind.

Our minds take a lot of information on daily basis. This information can be sticky. Here’s an example…

Say, you had a bad day at the office.

All the events that took place are pieces of information in your mind.

Though you might not remember all the events, bad feelings from the day have a tendency stick around.

Sometimes they can stick around for a long duration.

Depends how sticky those feelings are.

When we sleep some of the feelings do get dissolved.

So after a bad day at office, the next day in the morning you might feel a little lighter.

You feel less sticky.

But if in the morning, you start remembering yesterday’s events, it starts a series of thought patterns in you.

The sticky stuff is back.

Not only do you remember the events, you might go on a mental trip and relive the moments.

It is not just the bad moments that stick around. Even the good ones do.

So, mind keeps adding these sticky stuffs in you.

Is there a way to relieve your mind off this sticky stuff?

Meditation is a very easy & fool proof way to do it.

Daily meditation creates a habit in the mind to easily let go off the sticky stuff…

Just as mind has tendency to stick the stuff in, it also has a tendency to release it.

Through meditation we cultivate the tendency of releasing sticky stuff…

It becomes more natural and quick.

More about sticky stuffs & tendencies of mind later…

Let’s meditate!
